SOMNOPLASTY IS PAINLESS

Our experience indicates that less than 10% of our patients undergoing Somnoplasty need narcotic analgesics, as compared to 100% of patients using older surgical procedures.

A narcotic is not needed to relieve the minor sore throat that occurs for a few days after the procedure. You will resume normal activities the following day, and take only a mild analgesic such as Tylenol or Advil for about 2 or 3 days. This is a significant improvement over other procedures that have a prolonged and painful recovery period. You might experience some swelling and discomfort for a few days following the procedure, not unlike the feeling of an oncoming cold.
